Moto-East Oil-cooler

Hello all,

I recently installed the new Moto-East oil-cooler and thought I’d post some pictures as there aren’t many out there.

The kit I purchased came with a small Setrab cooler, heavy-duty brackets, oil filter adapter, and stainless-steel braided lines w/ AN fittings.

The provided brackets are angled slightly acute making the cooler point inwards. With my JR intercooler in the way the provided brackets could not be used the way they were intended to. We ended up flipping the brackets around and then bending them a little past 90-degrees to clear the bumper.

It’s been almost a month since I’ve installed this and I have no leaks. I am extremely happy with this product. My temps rarely go past 200F during my normal DD activities which is about a delta T of 25 +/-5. Granted, it is relatively cool this time of year. I wish I got one sooner!

Torque specs: 17ft/lbs for adapter plate

Iphone for scale.

Powder-coated thick ass brackets.

Improvising on said brackets.

Routed the lines under the radiator hose.

It’s a tight fit!

How are your intake temps though? Seems like it would be better to stick that behind the intercooler to avoid blocking and feeding hot air into it. Since you already have a JR SC, why not use those specific oil cooler set up?

Intake temps have not changed at all. The main reason I would move it behind the intercooler is to protect it from debris. I do plan on having the cooler relocated but just don't have time till the summer.

This is on sale at the moment and so I thought I'd take advantage of the promotion as well as support a shop I like.
