Brz Corsa Exhaust Video (No drone!)

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaA27fgPfnA"]Corsa Exhaust Comparison/Install (NO DRONE!!) BRZ FRS GT86 86 2013 - 2017 - YouTube[/ame]

I really like the deep tone the exhaust gives. This is my girlfriends brz and she loves it .

The db is perfect. Would switching to UEL header down the road make it too loud?

Yes, it will. Corsa exhausts are made with their "no drone" technology and when you start adding other parts to the exhaust it changes the frequencies and it will get louder. With a header i bet its gonna get unbearable

For someone who doesn't own a corsa with a uel, you sure do know a ton about them!

To OP, I have a Corsa. I also have a catless uel, with stock front pipe. Volume wise, it did get louder, but not by a huge amount. What about drone, you ask? There's some. But, only when at highway speeds (between 100-120km/h) and by turning the radio up to 5, the drone is a non issue. I can have a conversation with a normal, inside voice and I can talk on the Bluetooth and my voice comes across clear without any exhaust noise.

If you do end up with a catless uel, just make sure you do the cold start mod, as the corsa is stupid loud on cold stars with a catless header.

Too loud is also subjective as hell. Some people think that an N1 with zero cats in the system isn't loud enough and some think the Q300 is a bit loud. For me, I wanted something a bit more low key, and the corsa gives me that. It's a normalish sounding exhaust unless you get on the throttle.

Doesnt matter if i own one or not ive heard it and people saying it gets louder. And you say you have "some drone and turn radio up to 5 and do "the cold start mod" because you know its loud, stop lying to yourself that its not loud. And you say "loud is subjective" so it may not be loud to you but it could loud for OP.

Well, it's certainly not unbearable, which is what I was referring to. Compared to other exhausts I've owned, the corsa has negligible drone and the cold start mod is for the benefit of my neighbours, and it's been done with every exhaust I've had, from a GReddy SP (which is very quiet) to a Tomei 60R (which is very loud).

You must not know, but I've had a ton of exhausts on my car, all with a catless header. So, yeah, I'd say I know a bit more than the average bear when it comes to the sounds coming out of the back of my car.

True, compared to other exhausts im sure it's a lot at better at handling drone. Corsa is a high quality piece. Do you have any sound clips of your set up? would nice to have a comparison in this thread

You said it would be "unbearable" man..... Its on the lower end of loudness in the realm of available exhaust choices when it is paired with free flowing headers. Hardly unbearable.

Brilliant video! Much appreciated! I'm still trying to make my decision on a cat back and this one is first on my list thus far.

I happen to also have a JDL UEL catless header paired with my Corsa catback. I can tell you the volume level is very tolerable. This is coming from someone living in SoCal.

awesome, i live in California also.

The volume and tone is great as is. I don't think kim wants to go much louder than this. I'm sure a drop in k&n will be gooood.

thanks for the positive feedback, and comments

For those who are interested, I just ordered the black tip version of this exhaust on Amazon after a significant price drop.

I highly recommend the Corsa. If anyone lives in Socal and wants to hear it paired with a catless header, PM me.
