You have to cut the rear frame extension in the wheel well to fit super wide tires up front. I think 18x10 et40 would be a safe bet as to fitting 285 all around on a stock body twin. At least that is my idea. Hopefully I am right as I don't want to have to do it twice. Trying to find a tool that would allow me to measure it all out.

Its one of the reasons I kept horsepower reasonable, believe me this car is wild enough at 350whp for my purpose, the power comes on as you would assume way different than a turbo 4, immediate and linear, and because of the lightness of the car im curious of my zero to 60 times, but yah third gear highway pulls its kind of meh, thats if your into that kind of wow factor, me not so much. Once you go north of 400 though it most probably creates a whole bunch of other issues to solve mainly enough grip , ways to create wheel space for that grip, and diff reliability....more $$$$$$$

I'm curious of your 0-60 times too, and I'm curious to see what this thing looks/sounds like running down the street, freeway or track. I realize there aren't many, but there are a few LS swapped frs/brz out there...but there really isn't much to see as far as videos except for some start ups and walk arounds haha...??? "Meh" can be taken so many ways. How are the 3rd gear pulls? At 350rwhp and 2800lbs, with street tires, I expected 1st to be almost useless at WOT 2nd to be manageable and 3rd and 4th to be where you could really lay into it and feel some "quality" acceleration. As for the rear diff any feedback on that fullblown 8.8 mustang diff swap, with axles and drive shaft? Seems like exactly what would be needed except for the $7k price tag. |

I almost wish the LS I got was close to the power of my FA20 so I could directly compare the two. Though the power/torque curve of the LS will be much better. At just about 380whp the car is fun to drive, and so far has had anyone that has ridden/driven the car want a turbo FRS. I can't imagine what ~500whp N/A is going to feel like. Definietly not something my current 255s will handle. Are people still having issues with the stock diff once they install a real LSD or perhaps a mk3 Supra or is300 LSD? My old Supra is at the junk yard and I plan on grabbing the diff to install in my car. Spencer Fab has a supra diff in his current car (or at least did, and has a good write up on it) Edit: Initial opinions on the Greddy Evo GT exhaust. It sounds amazing and I am glad it is quite a bit quieter than my old exhaust, but it hands way too low. Sound is messed up for some reason. Sucks as well because it cuts out right when the BOV goes off. [ame="http://youtu.be/nNam7qm2kSs"]http://youtu.be/nNam7qm2kSs[/ame]

Got the word the Engine just shipped out. UPS Ground, So I expect it to be here Tuesday or Wednesday. (Maybe sooner).
Went to order the transmission yesterday only to find out Vorshlag doesn't accept paypal. So I had to transfer funds from paypal into Bank account. 1 Business day transfer my foot. Saying 3-5 business days. So transmission and few other parts will be ordered next week.

Much faster than expected eh? Do they dyno the engine after it's built or just build it and ship it? Any word on when the Vorshlag kit will be released? Any further discussion on the can bus interface? abs/traction control? |

No word from Vorshlag on that. They are still in the process of building the mount kits and getting a good stock of them before deciding on final price and releasing them. MRS Electronics has that covered already. I should be able to buy one to make mine work 100% already (58 tooth wheel?). The LS1/2 Engine uses a 24 tooth wheel? and requires extra work.

Pretty much, yep. I'm still waiting on a few things to get rolling on even deeper integration with the BRZ platform, but the basics are done and provide just as much as any other solution out there. I really want to get more working before I actually ship a product though.
