Its not if you ask me. Maybe if your going FI in like 6 months then yeah but if its years down the road enjoy the headers

Just to put it out there, the Works turbo kits also make use of the factory header just like PTuning so you could buy an upgraded header and later go to either kit. Of course, I make no claims about the quality/performance of either kit (you can find plenty of reviews for both kits on here) There is a substantial price difference between the two, but you should make your decision based on more than just price

I believe ultimate racing turbo kit also uses an up pipe from the factory header as well.

Interesting, I had not seen that one before. Here's a link for anyone curious: http://www.ultimate-racing.com/colle...-frs-turbo-kit
The price is pretty reasonable (as it should be without a complex custom exhaust manifold) however I have no idea about the quality of the kit. Thanks for the tip!

A lot of the shitty build talk I have seen were from the version one. I have only seen one shitty wield with the V2. Their reputation on the forums comes from people that just heard/saw from someone else.

If I notice anything wrong with what I get, I will return it in a heartbeat. The sound is so good tho, that I'm willing to take that chance.

OFH is an alternate however.

I ran an OFH on E85 for a year and went turbo over the summer. I have no regrets about doing it...even recouped 3/4ths of my N/A build costs. I had a huge leak in my charge pipe at first and even then it felt like night and day compared to E85/Header.

I ran the OFT/OFH combo for a year. It was better than stock but I got the craving for big power. Now I'm running a turbo and am looking at flex-fuel tune next year.

I ran Tomei UEL headers and OFT from 3k to 15k miles. After that I sold them and made the upgrade to turbo.

OFT stage 1 at about 600-700 miles. Good but not enough
E85 with OFT OTS tune at 1.4 k miles. Better but still not enough
E85 OTS w/ Headers at 4k. Currently at 15k with this setup still but looking to go for more.

Turbo is purchased and waiting to go on after the winter. Still worried that will end up not being enough after I get used to it

IMHO I would start with headers first. It may be all you are looking for and like others have mentioned most SC kits will work with the headers and some of the turbo kits will as well and worst comes to worst just sell your header to someone.

I just want to know who out there has bought a header (either planned, or just thought it wasn't enough) then bought a turbo.
I bought header before turbo . Open flash header bolt right on works stage 1- 2 turbo kit no problems.
