If a kit with a C30 on 91 did 295whp, I'd tell you run a C30 with HBP and 100 octane. You'll be over 300 all day. If you have a p/w goal in mind, detune to taste. |

What's your setup beyond the standard kit? Do you have a tighter pully, exhaust pieces, injectors, dyno tune, etc?

I have virtually all the support in mods necessary. Just need the kit and a tuner. Do you road race your setup often Mike? I run around 12 events a summer, real hard for 20-30 minute sessions all day. I enjoy my virtually problem free setup.

Looks like I could get this pulley: http://jacksonracing.com/product/fr-...-boost-pulley/. A fuel pump and injectors as recommended, I wonder if this is referring to the DI or standard injectors.

Actually, running the HBP with the C38 is better. C30 with the High Boost Pulley is at the C30's limit. With the C38 it is not, so the unit isn't working as hard to make the same horsepower. If you want to run the High Boost Pulley, I recommend running the C38.

Regardless of which set up you go with, get a FF kit, injectors and a fuel pump. I personally wouldn't use a HBP on my c38. From what I've read and seen, I'm not sure if the trans will like it, nonetheless the rods.

But yes, the c38 kit can totally handle a HBP

stock 2016 BRZ + JRSC C30
MAHA dyno results: Corrected power: 232.0 HP Engine power: 235.2 HP Wheel power: 194.2 HP Torque: 185.4 lb-ft Dynapack results: Wheel power: 234.0 HP Torque: 192.0 ft/lb If you look at wheel power on the MAHA dyno, it's a big variance. But if you compare the corrected power # against the dynapack, they come out pretty close (within 2 hp) We had a NorCal 86 dyno day at the MAHA dyno on 8/6 Day and a number of JRSC with various mods, as well as a few Edelbrock SC cars went on the dyno. Some modded NA cars too if you want to compare against what is possible on NA. See all the numbers and crunch it in your mind until your head explodes: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109320
