That's how mine is. That's why you check the level while revving to 3k.

This may be a stupid question,

So when we check rotrex oil level do we have to be holding at 3K rpm ( needing 2 ppl) or can I rev it that high then go and check?

Rev it, and then go check.

I all i used about 780ml of oil and was just wondering how much all of you used when filling up the system.
Is there a break-in period for the SC? I ask because I finished mine on Monday and did not see anything noted in the install manual.

Around 300-500 miles break-in period.

Rotrex recommends a "run-in" period of 100km (65 miles). This can be found on page 10 of the Rotrex maintenance booklet.

If you did your initial test drives around your city as suggested at the end of the JR manual, you will be fine.

Well looks like Rotrex has stated a far lower number, which is great for everyone. We tend to ease into things quite nicely. Gotta warm up the oven before you bake right?

Also have a c38 and flash n go tune but no track days for me.... So after driving around for the past couple of days with my OFT plugged in I noticed that no matter how long I've had the car on for my oil temp has never exceeded 190 degrees. I know the optimal engine oil temp range is slightly above 200. Is there any reason why I've been fluctuating around 175-185? I know the thermostatic plate kicks in at 185. Also I live in Texas so it's far from cold here. Last night it was 75 degrees out and asides from when I attempted a 3rd gear pull I never got over 180 degrees... Should I be concerned?

Oil temp is read post-cooler, not pre-cooler. You're totally okay.

Water boils at 212F, but it'll evaporate off at a much lower temperature.

Mods - link is in my sig.

Dyno - Don't care for it so don't have it. My car works very well due to advice from my favorite suppliers (i.e., CSG) and work by my mechanics (i.e., EFI Logics) and tune from my tuners (i.e., Delicious Tuning), and because of some valuable contributors to this forum.

Lap times - I am on the slow side of fast - an instructor and a TT driver with twins, both without SC, usually have few or several seconds on me per 1.5 - 2 min lap. I could run faster laps but I usually focus on certain parts of the track and techniques, and letting faster drivers by. Some track videos are on youtube under dpsend1.

To me, JRSC is worth every penny spent.

My understanding is that thermostatic plates will always let a little bit of oil through, even under temp. It's not just a trickle, either. I have a 180* thermostat connected to a setrab 619 and my oil doesn't go above 170 on the highway.
