Just following up...

We wont be ready to start the conversion till the end of the month due to a friend that can help with the install is out of town. So far, we have the unit and are looking at diagrams of the wiring form the BRZ Limited and FRS! Still expect to be done sometime next month with a non "true dual climate" due to vent motors but everything else and buttons will work! Stay tuned. We still going to do a DIY AFTER compleation of the swap. (so we dont give out wrong info and to avoid malfunction)

Follow on Instagram for pic updates on the regular!

I'm curious to see the results. I'd like a conversion where the dials maintained the FRS functions and the switches were free to be used for other functions ;-)

There is a work in progress DIY for this. The title is "DIY: DUAL CLIMATE SWAP" I think...Next week I will be 100% done. But check out the work I have done so far! :happy0180:

I had our parts department compare the parts on the 10 series to the regular ones.
Seems like the wiring harness is has a different part number but the ECU is actually has the same part numbers on both. Perhaps the programming is different. I really wish I could get my hands on wiring diagrams, and I wish I was more knowledgeable.

ECU part# SU00305185 shared on both units.
10 Series Wiring harness part# SU00304559

I came across these photos from Chase Bays, they make it look easy to work with wiring harnesses.

I was comparing frs 10 series wiring diagrams to BRZ diagrams, I noticed they are the same.
http://www.ft86club.com/files/BRZwiringi.pdf Heater control wirings starts at page 342 for auto a/c and 354 for manual a/c.

No not a reference to 10 series. Its just to encourage creativity and to get our blood flowing.
