I have seen this video before when searching for safety reviews. Pretty cool stuff.

do you know a reason why the test dummies are seated so close towards the front? isnt that more dangerous?

They can be placed in many different positions depending on what is being tested. Most tests go for the worst case scenario though since the they are very expensive.

I sped the footage up for close to 35mph and looped it. It's a butcher job so look quick!

How did you lose it at only 9 mph? Did you turn off stability control? Stock tires?
Yes and yes.

Took me a while (and many miles) to forgive myself. I literally had a "Hum, wonder what will happen if I turn that off and goose it from a standstill, in the rain" thought.

My wife was sitting right next to me, but did not notice me hit the button. A couple of months after I got the car back I finally clarified what had specifically happened (turning off traction control in particular). Not knowing this made her scared to drive the car, and I could not have that.

Although I did enjoy being the dedicated driver for a while.

I've been irresponsible and let her slide in the rain on roads, giving gas at slow speeds to kick the tail out. It's extremely predictable with the pedal dance tool plugged in. I honestly don't understand why you would do that with another person in the car, let alone couldn't handle it, you should be scared of the car then you'll respect it more. Go do some slides in a parking lot in the rain so you can predict it in the future and have a little fun, you'll realize how predictable it is.
