Got mine installed and running!
Ran into a few more issues, only had a single hose piece for the oil and was missing the U bracket and spacer for the reservoir tank. I had to look at pics of used kits to find that out. Single hose was only long enough to reach to the back once. Had to place the tank up front using the intake brackets off of the supercharger/pulley mount. Also had to dremel one of the maf sensor hex screws into a flathead as it was on too tight. All in all, the kit is well designed and I appreciate not having to cut into anything. A good tip for priming the supercharger. Don't completely mount the tank, if you lift up high enough initially gravity will push the oil to the inlet of the SC instead. Finish the mounting once it you see a slight leak from inlet. This made the priming only take a few "dead" starts to start leaking through the outlet. Again, when lifting make sure you have enough in there to not run out and have an air pocket. A couple of questions: 1) Does anyone have proper steps or video on how to use the gates app? My belt was super loose at 21mm, adjusted down to 17mm right now and I still hear a vibration when starting from a stop (~1.5k). I'm afraid to over tighten. This would probably be helpful to the whole kraftwerks community. 2) With the BOV re-circulated. Should I be hearing it? I guess the question is more of, I don't hear mine at all which has me worried pressure is staying in the system. I May disconnect it to the atmosphere to see if I can hear it working. For now, i'm babying it during break-in but, i can feel a difference already. |

@CaptivaBlueTeg
1. here's how i did it: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...postcount=3381 after a month or few once your belt breaks re-check your tension 2. it's recirculating, so generally - no. You can here some chattering though after you go wot and then release gas pedal |

I think the car can only detect when it has no oil pressure at which point it is too late. It was my understanding oil pressure is the only sensor the car didn't have and is why most people run an analog gauge for it. |

Update on my belt adjusting:
Only time will tell if it's correct. I was definitely loose even at 19mm, the app would not register. Once I got it tensioned up the app was giving me a consistent readings within 3hz of each other. With that said i'm getting 58-60hz constant and not hearing the vibrations at the lower rpms like before. This brought me closer to 17mm range. |

Hey guys. Don't know if anyone had an issue with a broken bracket before, but they will break if they are mishandled or over tightened.
