I have about 2k street, 10 autox and 3.5 hpde days on mine and they are at half tread.
That is actually pretty impressive to me that they still have half tread after 3.5 track days. I have 10k street miles and 2 track days on my Direzzas and they are below half tread and the grip is gone.

If you haven't seen it yet, Tire Rack did a comparison vs. Rival S, RE71R and RS3.

How long have you had them, and have they seen cold temps? I bet they are heat cycled out, most of the 200tw tires will heat cycle out before the tread is gone, especially if you rarely do any HPDE/Autox.

My old Rivals have 7-8 days, abound 8-9k street miles, and autox. The 2013 Rivals are amazing.

Thanks for the feedback. Our LeMons team is also looking for cheap replacements for our upcoming race at Carolina Motorsports Park. The first year we were able to get two races out of a set of Hankook RS3s. The second year we barely got 1 full race out of the BFG Rivals (old version) before the steel belts were showing at the end of the race.

The Kumhos would be cheaper, that's why I'm interested in track longevity. I understand this of course varies from track to track, temps, vehicle, etc.

heres what my v720 look like now. LF takes the most abuse, but air temps have been 50-60 degrees at most during my runs

Just snagged a set of RE-71R's @ 146 a pop from Tire Rack. To celebrate this occasion, I think I'm going to sign up for the HyperFest circuit cross at VIR while I'm at it.

Probably 215 vs you looking at 225, 215/45/17 OE sized extreme street tires are right around $145-$150 for the name brands: Dunlop Hankook Bridgestone since I've owned this car. Right now they're actually showing $132+shipping for me.

Clicked around. Looks like the 235 are the $146 each ones. Paying slightly more for the 225.... =\ Sounds like they raised the price due to demand to me.

Tirerack definitely decreases prices if they have a high supply low demand tire they want to move out of stores (RE11A's are still discounted for the 2x that are left even though they're >$10 more expensive than 71's in the same size), not surprising they'd increase in a low supply high demand case like the 225x17 tire that's dominant in street class right now. Looks like RE11's are also rather expensive even though I thought the compound was outdated, maybe they're keeping it around as a track/dd type tire. Kinda sucks to see price jacking but understandable to see a 10% bump where it's convenient and customers are willing...

Can you guys not get your tires through Costco? That's where I got my Re71Rs. At 189.99+15 for install (all Canadian dollars) it seems like I got my 245/40/17s for cheaper than what you guys are paying for your 215s or 225s

Costco don't have online prices for comparison on the 71's last I looked.

But yes, Costco is great for Bridgestones and Michelin's, if I'm buying new 'stones I'm going to go through them as well, they're a good $10-$20 cheaper each iirc. You got a great price considering exchange rate, we'd pay about that USD for the same tires.

Costco is also having a sale I think $70 off a set of Bridgestone tires starting Monday. I'm ordering my set next week.
