So did you do some cutting in addition to get into the engine bay?

There's already some holes/gapping behind the fender vent, so you can live with that, or you can choose to cut up some of the inner fender to allow for more air to vent. I didn't cut anything off since I already had the vented hood, but I'd say the fender vents would be 2-3x more functional if you choose to cut off some of the inner fender.

Yea that's something i'm going to look into this summer. I also want to chase down a vented hood, but i do not like the carbon fiber look, and i've heard some of them don't fit perfect, so I thinking i'll get another Stock hood and put some vents in that

Yeah, if my stock hood wasn't dented to hell, I would have just put some vents in that

Aftermarket 'wet' CF hoods are heavier (at least mine is), and the fitment is definitely not anything to brag about.

Thanks, it's the HIC FRS/BRZ Rear Window Roof Visor. I had it wrapped in 4D Carbon vinyl.
