I would like to have your dif, but it is not gonna happen due to expensive delivery and huge import fees. In reality I would pay double what guys in US pay and thats not worth it but thanks for your offer.
I can buy only Mfactory things because they are in Europe or pay big extra.

The shock loading is what damages the Torsens/Helical LSDs. Suspension wise, you may need to dial that in to reduce that type of issue.

What is shock loading and how is it managed with suspension tweaks?

In short, dial in the suspension to prevent dramatic changes in load, e.g. going from full load, to no load, to full load. An example is to prevent lifting a wheel, if possible (this isn't always possible depending on conditions).

Another example is to not drive with TCS/VSA on. If VSA activates, it's grabbing the brakes at a rear wheel, which is a large shock load to the diff, which is already working to try to prevent wheel spin. This can result in differential failure.

Then there is that slippery slope of contemplating an LSD "while you are there"

That's my dilemma. Stay NA and do 4.56 rear gears or go JRSC which will make me want an LSD! Either way, I'm touching the diff! Pulls hair out

Seems like a final drive gear swap would be a great thing to do along with a diff.

Boy oh boy CSG...you guys sure know how to scare the beejeezus out of my wallet.

It's been done, and I've driven it.

It makes 3rd gear almost like a MT's 3rd gear. 1st and 2nd are super short, but the gears are actually useable on track!

Hey Mike.. I have been running into issues in the rear in the last couple of track days and on the street, wondering what you think/suggest.

It seems like I am spinning the rear inside tire under acceleration. When exiting the apex and unwinding the steering wheel while beginning to apply power i get this feeling of traction then all of a sudden i feel the RPMs jump up and what feels like the inside tire spinning even though i dont feel the car lift/tripod.

It seems to happy mainly on the tigher lower speed stuff top of 2nd beginning of 3rd. Specially through a tight chicane on our local track while accelerating through it.. I have made some adjustments to the compression in the front and increased rebound alightly upfront. I have tried to reduce rebound in the rear incase the rear shock is not opening fast enough on transitions causing this issue but no hope.

What changes do u suggest front/rear..

P.S a few track days ago I had done 35 mins of hot laps.. untill i felt the rear diff acting up.. when i entered the pits it was really really clunks and making loud bangs.. as usual i change rear diff fluid every 2-3 track days and run motul which helps it feel normal again. Could i have caused damage to oem torsen?

bumping old thread

for those using os giken or cusco 1.5 way, did you just install straight into the diff or had it disassembled to adjust the clamping force? i've read that over-the-shelf setting is usually tuned for drifting and so adjustment is needed for grip driving.

LSDs ordered from CSG are typically custom configured to suit each driver.

With regards to OS Giken Superlock, I've found two part# "TY421-HA" and "D-TC1FA20-S". How do they differ, if any?
