If I was local I'd love to join in but I can't of course.
Get them on here! We want to be involved! And nitpick!

If they aim to get to top NA, imho best bet would be some nameless & ace combination. Runner length/merge distances (and small angle collectors with very good quality smooth meeting of tubes) like that of Ace's 350, but spacial placement closer to Nameless, to avoid need for separate overpipe which will make production costlier & may bring rubbing issues.
Next thing to try (don't know if it's possible fitment wise at all) - runners as long as Ace's 350 AND cat. Another idea - some Y collector (for 4-2-1 design), that can be sliding/moved/mounted closer or further from end of header, to 'tune' with same header for different hp/torque/rpms optimisation within same header. (think of ace's 350/250/150, but within one header). Might be costly though. And if they manage to make one that perform among best, many would love free OTS OFT tune or at least like PTuning does, - provides upon request for customers tuning/timing/cam tables that can be passed on to favourite tuner of choice (or DIY used by oneself with OFT). |

I don't think generally that hooker goes for top performance. They usually are middle of the ground headers with a good price point. I don't expect a top performer (JMO) but a good middle ground option with a large support network behind it.

Guys, I snuck in there today to see progression of my car and also let them know what everyone on this forum is suggesting. They will look into our posts and read what everyone's suggestions are and try to find a good balance.
They would still like to do a cars and coffee tour for everyone if we are interested. For now, here are some pics of the 2 different prototype axle back exhausts they are going to offer, one is a traditional dual exhaust and one is a single sided exhaust (for ultimate weight reduction). I did get a chance to drive both set ups since they wanted my feedback. Both sound amazing, great tone when accelerating with ZERO drone, and honestly, both dual and single sounded very similar except the single exit had a different tone at idle. Also, this is what they are planning on offering for those who were asking: *Axle back Dual exhaust *Axle back single exit exhaust (For ultimate weight reduction) *Mid pipe w/ and w/o resonators for those who want to upgrade their axle backs in the future to cat backs *Cat back dual exhaust w/ resonator *Cat back single exit exhaust w/ resonator *Front pipe w/ and w/o cat *UEL header w/ and w/o cat (everyone offers a complete UEL and a EL and they are going to offer more of an IN BETWEEN, still UEL but not so un-equal, granted all testing go well so this can still change) *They also own a few tuner brands but haven't verified if they will offer a tuner but it might be a possibility. Can't wait to see the headers!!!!!!, I'm also liking the license plate holder and plate they use for their photos |

Well, that definitely looks like a nice setup. If the pricing and sound is right they'll have a winner I would think.
Surprising how fast they got that done actually. |

The setup pictured appears to require modification/reuse of the factory mid pipe. How odd, it honestly looks like it's cut.

Yes, the stock exhaust has to be cut for the axle back set up, cool part is they will sell mid pipes only to convert to a cat back for the future. They will also offer full cat backs that do not re-use the OE mid pipe. |

Yeah, when I dropped off the vehicle, they did not mess around, it went straight to the dyno to get a baseline. They are working on the cat backs now and if all goes well, they said they would be working on a UEL header next week. |

So they're going to sell pre-cut mid-pipes or you'll have to cut your mid-pipe for install and they'll sell you a new uncut one? Seems like an odd choice, most people want a bolt on option. But it does look nice! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Its probably a cost thing.
If they sell you a precut pipe....wouldn't they just be selling you a catback? Which he says they are preparing to offer as well. So.... it makes sense, multiple options at differing price levels. This is all prototype stuff still anyways. |
