Yeah i figured as much. I was doubting that placement of using the brake booster line under the manifold, but ill use it for now. Will look into those options. Thanks for the input!

Anyone know why these CEL codes are thrown?
P2122 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "D" Circuit Low Input P2127 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "E" Circuit Low Input Car holds consistent boost and runs absolutely fine, but i have to clear these codes every time I start the car because it starts in limp mode. Once those DTCs are cleared everything is fine. Map sensor is scaled properly. |

Pedal position shouldn't have anything to do with the MAP sensor. Are you sure that your connector on the throttle body is properly connected and none of those wires are damaged?

It's been a while because I sold my car a while back. Mainly because I spent 18K on mods and labor, shooting for 350hp, and went with a shop that had not tuned any 86's before.
I ordered the GTX2867r Premium kit, titanium exhaust, big clutch, Element Tuning Hydra Standalone ECU, meth injection, bigger injectors, bigger radiator (moved forward for extra clearance), the works, it took 4.5 months to get my car back from this shop. When they were done, I got a whopping 280WHP on their Mustang Dyno. I was bummed to say the least. All the while, Full Blown was there with the best customer service, got me a new rebuilt turbo after the shop incorrectly installed it originally, leaving it with no water flowing through it. They said it was installer error (usually not covered), but replaced it anyways because FB was such a good customer. I sold the car to a guy in Indiana. He took up Phil at Element Tuning's offer to fly in and tune the car himself. Without touching ANYTHING, Phil was able to get another extra 86 HP out of my car with just a proper tune. If my car had been tuned originally correctly, I'd probably still own it, I'm glad the new owner now has the power that I built the car to make. Both Full Blown, and Element Tuning's Hydra Standalone are great products. If I had to do it again, I'd probably still go with Full Blown for the turbo kit. Since so many shops tune with Ecutek, and it now supports meth injection, I'd probably opt for that, unless I was going racing. Then Element's Hydra Standalone would probably be a better application. I just wanted to put a shout out to Full Blown, and Element Tuning for the GREAT customer service, and also to warn people to get their car tuned by someone who knows our cars, and has tuned many of them. My car was this shop's first 86, and it showed. |

I just want to echo this statement. The FA20 is not your average run of the mill motor. It is a high compression direct injected motor. It is not a Honda B, K, F series motor. It is not an LS motor. It is not a 2JZ motor. It is definitely not an EJ25 motor. There are a few good reliable FA20 tuning shops out there. Spend the money and take your car there for a tune. Don't waste the money you invested in a turbo kit by running on a basemap or some crappy shops idea of a "custom" tune.

What act clutch do you guys recommend? My stock clutch is slipping after a two days being boosted. Is the act hdss enough? It says 270tq, I'm assuming its better to have a strong clutch than pushing the clutch to the limit?
fbm stage 1 kit. gtx2867. 7-10 psi

I won't even be close to 420 tq :o How is it tho? Do you drive it on the streets daily or is it just as a fun car on the weekends.

Question for all those running the oil catch can, what was used as a plug for the bottom drain? I'm assuming the shop forgot to put it back in because now I am getting some oil on the firewall/battery area and its from the catch can drain

I would use a small filter just so nothing gets sucked in. I used a catch can that vents to atmosphere.
