I remember reading somewhere the original concept of this will be made so you can upload data from car to USB; then to GranTurismo.

A main reason I acquired two of these =P

Ichii I never reposted after playing last night, but it's the modellista kit and then a modellista kit with black highlights on the lip/skirts.

Spoilers are stock BRZ or some GT wing.

Also I think, I wrote previously, but they're testing out in few US track (Seca is one of em). The track that isn't in the data base, it'll be DL or can be uploaded to GT. Cuz I highly doubt Polyphony gonna make every single track in the world.
That is the thing. In order to model a track properly, you cannot simply rely on the telemetry data capture *from a car* to model the whole track. You need terrains, paths, curvature, and probably a whole team to review tons of video and even blue prints of the track to get it right. What you can get from the telemetry data from running your car to the track is more of where you were, relatively to the track position compared with the GPS locations, and the internal data of your car like throttle position, turning angles and whatnot. Then they can try to match your GPS location to the track and use the other information to match the parameters used in GT to simulate your ghost image.

In other words, getting the data of the location of the car and its internal data is easy and uploadable to GT. Getting the track data is a whole different game. As Polyphony will never be able to make all the tracks around the world, you can only use this thing on the tracks they provide.

You offered to go to the off topic section. I liked that. You didn't want to thread jack.

I'm also from MD originally. Rock my Os hat every day. So you're cool in my book.

Then someone called me a fanboy and I blew up on them. Nothing I said was fanboyish...so he deserved it.

In any case, to be pertinent to the topic at hand, I like this idea. It all remains to be seen on how they decide to implement it and how smoothly that goes, along with the utility the blackbox has. Otherwise, failure. Professional and enthusiast systems already exist, competing with them would be difficult IMO.

And I thought OrbitalEllipses was being a fanboy but your sir take the cake.
Toyota has an origanal idea to promote there intent to make the FR-S not just a A to B car and people like you have to go all fanboy just because Forza did get it.

Oh and " No real life tracks"? try this one "Nürburgring" that real enough for you.

Back on topic
I think this is a great idea and every one seems (other than the fanboys) to be on board crossing betwwen game a real is what its all about and thats what I like to hear.

As far as it only working on the FR-S im a little questionable about that, heres my reason/question in the end are not the FR-S/BRZ/86 the same car other than a trim here and there as far as CPU is concered?
Correct me if im wrong id rather be proven wrong than to think im right.
