for those who have issues with bumper fitment, I am selling the extra pair of quik mini latches that I purchased for my BRZ. I noticed that only one (instead of two) latch on each side is enough and looks better aesthetically

So I installed the quik latches on my car and it is way nicer now. I did find however not that the bumper is back where it should be that the clip behind the marker light doesn't line up anymore, has anyone else seen this? It's like the bumper is too far back and only half the hole is visible, I had to dremel the hole in the bumper to get the push clip to fit. Makes me wonder if the bumper is expanding in some way causing the clips under the headlight and at the fender to give out being as they're the weakest

I Have GOOD NEWS !!!!

The Problem is solved !!!

Without the Ugly looking Quik-Latch minis

My Subaru Dealer has done the Best Work i ever see for the Prob

but see at my Pictures !

So, the whole Problem is
that the Plastic from the Clips, the Plastic from the
whole Bumper is too Weak ! it is to flexible for holding the
Frontbumper in the right position.

In Fact when you drive the Frontbumper also produces Downforce !
And i have the STI Front Lip installed,
so i have much more downforce with that !

So, we take the car and modifiy the following parts as you can see in the pics :

This installation holds the Frontbumper in Place !
even wheni drive fast and the car produces downforce
the construction holds it solid in place !

And the best thing is : its not visible like the Quik-Latch minis

hope you like my Mod

A dealership did that!!? Wow I hope the documented that so they don't try to say you modified it yourself down the road. Neat idea I'd be interested to see how well it works long term. Its pretty bad that we have to use readi-rod or the latches to fix our bumpers that Subaru can't seem to fix

is this thread dead or still alive? because i want to bring up something..
i think i know whos the culprit for this issue..
i took off my bumper today to install something and tried to study why the bumper is loose, now i know some people here say that the one we need to fix is the bumper support with 3 bolts and i realized that this support holds the front not the sides and theres a separate part for that, its #12 in the front bumper diagram. i tried to move it and its loose even with the screw on
i havent tried to replace it yet and im not 100% sure but im gonna give it a try.

I love that it always is the driver side or both. Rarely does it seem to be just the pass. side

Mine I've just noticed is doing this on the passenger side only. Upon further examination one of the actual clips on the bumper (not the black plastic parts on the headlight bracket) is actually broken.

Fuuuuuuuuuhhhhh looks like quick latch minis for me. Are these hard to install on your own??
