That's what I was doing, still not convinced its the faster staying so far left... feels faster by turning in from mid point of the track.. but I've never tried it and timed it.

I was closing about 4 car lengths on quicker cars taking that line vs the rounder line at the OTA school during instructor lapping, but I haven't timed two laps back to back on different lines to see what the actual difference is.

As promised, video:

That was a hell of a day. Very well run event. I'll definitely be back.

Had a lot of fun with Bill and his Vette this session, which resulted in another second off of my best. 1:43.5 and counting.

@BatStig wow, all the things I keep saying I'm going to do next session you are doing!

1. I am jealous of everyone's shorter 3rd gear

2. I need to stick to my notes and don't let the adrenaline do the work

The stock springs and struts are damn good. As long as you don't ask it to do anything it doesn't want to you'll have a hell of a time! A proper alignment, thanks to the CasCams and LCA's, has delayed my search for coilovers for at least another year.

Something like this?

I was trying this line (not sure if that's what you mean) a few times in the first session but @sergiomordo was pulling away from me quite a bit. I was understeering pretty badly trying to keep up with his cornering speed taking that tighter line.

That's the basic idea, you need to adjust where and how much you're braking though. You're braking too much for the first right, and not enough for the left. All the time is made up by carrying more speed through the first part.
