Mighty Car Mods - Coilovers VS Tyres

Amusing latest episode from one of my favourite car shows, which happens to not only have twins in it, but answers an interesting question. Enjoy!

The AU-spec GT86 still comes with the Primacy HP tires, right? If so, I'm a little confused as to why they didn't test the red car with the stock Primacies. The most likely reason I can think of was to exaggerate the differences between good and bad tires for the sake of having numbers to show, but in doing so they created an unrealistic situation. I think they should have tested the stock tires against the better tires, as that's what the question asker would be running.

They do have the disclaimer that they're not scientists, but even as an avid MCM fan I have to admit on this one they went out of their way to make this test unscientific.

I've never watched anything these guys have done but I did enjoy that for sure. I have coilovers and those Bridgestones so I guess it's a win win for me then

The one you linked was in the wrong section. I checked under the media / video area and it was not there. Sorry for the re-post then

Yeah. the only thing I could think of was why replace the stock tires with way worse ones? I'm sure the car with better tires is still better than only coilovers, but the difference would be a little less with the stock tires on it..
