Hi everyone, I'm looking into getting either a new or used brz/frs and Subaru Calgary happens to have the ones I'm looking for.

I got a couple things I'd like to confirm before heading into the dealership this weekend if I have time. Is Mike Bressett still the go to guy at Subaru Calgary if I want to get a deal done or is there another employee that's great as well? I have a good idea on what I can get out the door for a new brz but I have never bought a used one from a dealership, so how much room is there for haggling on a used brz or frs? If there's a large enough discount on a used brz/frs then I'll probably go for it.

Thanks

Normally used cars have a huge markup on them, At least were I work. Dealerships always way under pay people for their cars because they can use manufacturer rebates to make it look like they are giving someone more money for their trade in but in reality they just are not discounting the new car as much as they could. Its a bit of a sketchy business not going to lie, but just remember no one gets paid unless you buy something so you have that on your side.

We had a used frs come in about a year ago that had like 20 grand in collision damage (3 separate crashes) and was fixed but still had some other minor damage on it. They listed it for 30 grand and sold it for 28 grand.

Edit: Oh and regardless if you buy new or used do not buy anything from the finance people ie. Rust proofing, undercoat ect. You can get that done after the fact sooo much cheaper. I know south pointe detail (part of south pointe Toyota) can do it for you for half the cost the finance people charge at any dealership, even their own haha.

That's the same setup i did immediately when i bought the car. I recommend a brake master brace if you dont have one, that fluid and the brace increase pedal feel a lot!

(Radium Engineering is the one I got, really well made)

I really hope this isn't the car that I bought. I bought a used 13 from south pointe for 28k... Really hope it didn't have any damage.

Haha, I used to work for southpointe. Now I work for a GM dealer so it's not that one. Did you ask for the carproof when you bought it? The dealer must disclose all that info when you buy a used car.
