Overall I really enjoyed the comparisions aside from gripe previously mentioned. Only concern is that for a video that should be about Daily Driving they don't get into much of why a certain car would be better in terms of cost. An FRS with its super easy to maintain NA boxer and power train must mean something as a daily compared to turbo'd boxers and 4cyl engines in general. No to mention AWD eating tires.
At the end of the day, if the reason Paul gave the FRS 4th is because it was too "track car" like, I know I made the right decision |

Also, they're virtually the same price, but the WRX gets better MPG, and maintenance isn't any more than the FRS. Change fluids, keep tires fresh. For that matter, the WRX is still on the first engine, our BRZ.... is not. |

Is your FR-S SC'd? My BRZ gets much better mpg than my 2004 WRX ever did and the BRZ is cheaper to insure as well. I'm in NY. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Interesting, given I got over 60,000 miles out of my Primacies before changing them recently.

I definitely agree with what you stated earlier, being a good DD is totally dependent on individual circumstances. However, I think what we were getting at is that for most individuals the WRX likely fits their DD needs better. For you and I however our needs both are filled by the FR-S.

Many of my buddies drive massive, crewcab pickups as DDs. They don't haul anything, are single and don't carry passengers, have zero need for a truck and think I am nuts for driving a "toy car".

Yep, I'd have to say pickup trucks are the least practical vehicles if you don't actually need them. The sad thing is like you said most people who own them don't.
