I wish you the best. You will not source all the parts, machine a bracket, and get it powder coated for less when you account for time spent. Believe me, that's why we developed the kit. Seriously, we arent getting rich off this, and take no offense if you decide to build your own. |

I'm all for diy but cooling oil/water I'll always buy quality kits. Peace of mind and product support is worth the little bit that you'd save.

I'm just saying instead of buying a kit piece it together and save a bunch. Braided hose is inexpensive as well as the reuseable -an ends. Other than that a good quality oil cooler and a thermo sandwich plate is all thats required. If you guys wanna pay a couple hundred bucks extra for a purdy mounting bracket go for it. I'd rather spend some time knowing its done right and save money in the process. |

It's a mounting bracket nothing special considering what it's holding.
I made my intercooler brackets myself on my turbo setup it was super simple yeah they were not powder coated pretty but frankly I didn't care I have the bumper on and you couldn't see them unless you took it off on top of living in the desert so I didn't need a coating for something that I wasn't going to have an issue with. To be honest there are some great kits but sometimes I just shake my head at the prices on things that really aren't hard to handle. Hell I got a copper core Trans Cooler sitting here brand new for 40 that I keep thinking would be great to use but I have not messed with it further. I have to decide if I am going to use it on the GTO or the FRS, GTO's have two points already setup to take a cooler I just would need to actually get fittings and make some line... but I am busy with other things lol. Either way good price OP, those finds pop up from time to time I have snagged a few myself (Lowering springs for 97.00, tails for like 213 I think it was) it happens you just look around and get lucky.

Amazon has built in active pricing model. I suspect vendors have the option to use it or not. When sales of an item are slow, they drop the price. Once someone buys one at the lower price, they raise the price back up. It's not a screw up - its just their pricing model to keep inventory turning over.

For anyone interested in making their own kit I can sell the parts separate also. Like vroom4 said we're not making a killing on these kits so markup is minimal but if I don't have to spend the time making lines, brackets, etc I will pass that savings onto you.
Just let me know what you need and I can get you pricing. |

Maximal, what type of cooler kit are you talking about? I'd be interested in a list of different options and pricing if possible please.

We can get Mocal and Setrab parts though along with pretty much any type of fitting you'd want. So if you wanted a larger core and to place it somewhere else just let me know what core you're interested in and how much line you want and I can price out the parts for you. Basically the same thing the other build-it-yourself guys are saying but using Maximal as your source for the parts. |
