Heck, never mind a GT4. An S or GTS is reason enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The performance ceiling for it is much higher than a twin. I'd skip the V6 or Ecoboost because you'll always have an underlying GT envy.

I just purchased a 2015 BRZ. I have access to many high powered rec vehicles. Can-Am Mavericks, atvs. High HP Ski-Doo's and Sea-Doo's. This platform brings me back the joy I first experienced driving a car that simply makes me smile. I could have purchased higher HP cars with ease. Something drew me to the BRZ. The body lines, the ability to actually rip a car without losing my drivers license unless I make the decision to do so lol. I absolutely love this car. I bought it sight unseen, never even test drove one. And after 500 miles, I know I made the right choice!

Since they're two completely different machines, just go test drive the Mustang. If you prefer its' higher performance and out of the box refinement over the lower weight, smaller size, better controls and visibility of your FR-S, then buy the Mustang. If you drive the Mustang and discover that all that extra weight and size, sloppier controls, and poor visibility aren't for you, then put a very modest F.I. kit on FR-S and add sound deadening (that'll run you $4-7k depending on how much you can DIY). You'd be amazed at what a mere 7lbs of boost, good tires and some sound deadening can do to this platform. |
