Do you have this in writing? Sorry we cant help you.
How is this a problem of toyota motor corp? they will just contact the dealer rep and you will get the "do you have this in writing?" and "who was the sales person?" "is this true?" "fired"

What do you want to happen? Do you want the sales person to lose their job? You won't get the wheels back, it's long gone.
It all goes back to... Do you have it in writing? no? ok bye then.
If the salesman was no good they are probably already gone. If they were good they may get a reprimand in front of OP and a "nah don't worry about it let's go get a beer" after he leaves. Even if in writing they may just say "ooops sorry here is a gift card for the $100 we figure they were worth"

He would be lucky to get a gift card. I'd expect 10% off any accessories or service.

OP, sorry to hear you ran into this issue. I sell cars for a living at a non-traditional dealership (truly none of the normal car business bullshit) but I can tell you the wheels are far and away gone forever. Cars get run through the shop and either put on the lot or shipped out. If you have nothing in writing nobody is going to be interested in making things right. If, if you go to the showroom floor and start a huge scene then MAYBE you'll get something to smooth over the situation. Unfortunately you are probably beyond dead to your salesman so don't ever expect to hear from him again, he's going to avoid you like the plague. Most of what I said is similar to the guys already, but it's just an inside opinion. Shit like this makes me glad I don't work like that at all.

Sorry, I have to be the forum asshole today and lean a different direction. Why would you take a car in for trade with stuff on it that you wanted to keep? If you had the stock wheels, why not put them on the car before you take it to them, or at a minimum take the stock rims with you to have them swap them out while you were there instead of waiting until the car had already been shipped out?

This complaint doesn't make any sense. I think you just need to call it a learning experience and move on.

Nothing in the written contract means you will have one hell of a time trying to enforce a verbal contract. The dealership doesn't care. I would never trust them to do something after the fact like that. Why didn't you just wait to swap the wheels before trade in? Im with the post above and say chalk it up to a lesson learned, but going in to talk to the manager is worth a shot if you really want them back

Dealers hate having angry costumers in person happened to me. First time was when I brought a used honda from a dealer they sold me it with a bad tranny showed up there and talked to the manager saying I want my money back or it fixed. They tried to give me the run around showing me other crappy cars and that they wont do anything for me. I walked away visible pissed and annoyed showed up the next day again but this time after talking to them, they said they would replace the tranny free of cost including labor. Pretty sure they knew I was not going to let this go and there was only one way to please me lol

This. When I bought my Lexus, as a sweetener, I asked the dealership to put on a lip spoiler. It was a long, drawn out purchase (and a long ass story), but by the time I finally went back to sign the paperwork, I had forgotten about it and signed everything without remembering. Of course, that wasn't on there, so I called my salesman up and he claimed to not remember. I looked through all the paperwork I had and couldn't find it. Chalked it up to a learning experience.

The tires on the stock wheels were bald and 1 wouldn't hold air, still haven't heard anything. May just have to take this like a prison rape this time, I'll know better from now on.

Try badmouthing them on social media. That's really the only way you have a prayer at this point.

Two other things you can do.

First and probably easiest to do is to leave a bad review on Google (Search the Dealership, usually you'll see reviews on the side of the page) explaining the entire situation and how they wronged you. Also leave a bad review on Yelp. Since those reviews are easily reversible, they'll probably have someone contact you to try and make it right just so you'd remove it. This is done by having their secretary or even a manager responding to the review with a call back number. So make sure to check it regularly.

If that doesn't work you can try and give them a bad survey, Scion and Toyota usually send one out on what your experience was at the dealership (Apparently these really hurt them, and they're terrified of them). I'm not sure if the bad survey can be reversed and how willing the dealership would be to rectify the situation after receiving one, but it definitely wouldn't hurt.

I already took the survey and explained the situation, I'll get on theother two tonight.
Thanks
