I had trouble with my intercooler mounting low and couldn't get the plastic shroud under it to fit correctly. I used a Dremel to cut a space in the shroud so it would fit in place. Hopefully you don't run into this problem. But having a Dremel in hand isn't a bad idea.

Same thing happened to me while installing my kit.

I'm pretty sure they can. They were about to send me replacement gaskets after I told them that I tore mine. But then they cancelled the order after I told them I went out and bought gaskets for a forester instead.

In comparison, the OEM 0w20 was black and loose after about 3000 miles.

I've gone back and forth a bit on what exact weight to run, but right now I'm swinging back towards running a 0w20 or 5w20 for street use. If you are going to be tracking it extensively, or are in extreme heat conditions, heavier weight oil is certainly viable - or just do shorter oil change intervals.
Any luck on finding the ideal weight for spirited daily driving as well as autocross?

Hey guys, I just got my kit in the mail yesterday. I've researched it a fair bit as well. I'm just curious if anyone else had the breather tank street kit and oem subaru bov included. I wasn't expecting those in there lol.

I'd stick with a high quality full synthetic 0w20. If you are in a very hot area, a slightly heavier oil wouldn't hurt.

I installed mine myself, it took me about ~13hrs (2 Saturdays).
During that time I also installed my radiator and I spent a lot of time trying to get more clearance between the pipe and the pulleys.

I started at 8pm on a Friday and finished up at 6 pm Sunday. This included street tuning and multiple trips to the auto parts store. I took my time and ran into issues because I was missing a few parts/tools. I didn't know how to wire my LC-2 wideband either so that took way longer than it should. I'm sure most people's install goes quicker.
