Uhhh... You ran it without any intake on it whatsoever, no rad, and empty of coolant.....?

Nooo, no problems. It's your car! Why don't you take it for a good long drive to make sure everything is OK? Make sure there is lots of debris in front of the intake to keep things from getting sucked in. Rev it really high the entire time. The higher you rev it, the more air goes through the engine, and the air will keep the engine cool!!!

Had couple free days last week, thus decided to fix fuse box. Used fiberglass to cover damaged area:
Then I got it primed: And lastly black paint. Spray can nozzle got clogged up after first layer (maybe 10 minutes between first and second layer was enough for paint to dry up in nozzle), thus spraying second, third layer was PITA. At the end it clogged up completely, but thankfully already had almost everything painted. You can only see some primer on left side. Anyhow, it is not part that you will look at often, so such DIY repair will work fine Until the next time. Hopefully car will go to paint shop in couple weeks. |

It's great that you are saving the BRZ from a near certain future at the junk yard or scrap pile. Great job OP! I've always wanted to do a project like this one.
