STI Style Side Skirts (ABS Plastic)

Hi

I need some advice on what I can do about my side skirts. I purchased these STI side skirts (ABS Plastic) from Bestracingmotors on eBay. The driver side fits nicely however like all replica parts theres always slight chance of not-perfect fitment. My passenger side skirt likes to pop away from the body of my car and I can see the double sided tape streching.

Any advice on what I can do to help these stick to my body panels?

Thanks!

When I got my front lip, it was advised to let it sit in the sun so it'll loosen back up to its intended shape.

That!
The heat makes it easier to kinda bend to whatever shape you want and after it cools, it kinda retains that current shape. I'd say take it off, let it sit for an hour of good sunlight, possibly less with enough heat, install, then let it cool.

I also heard that you have to apply a double thick layer of 3m as the original doesn't quite reach the body.

Yes, it definitely helps.
That's how I did mine.

Another board member also mentioned that he bent the metal brackets to hold the skirt closer to the body of the car. I have yet to try this as my car has been put away for the winter but will definitely try it once the spring rolls around.
