steering wheel squeak??
Just wondering if anybody has had this before, if i turn my steering wheel fast either left or right, i get this like rubber squeak noise . It is -15 on average here in montreal not sure if thats a contributing factor, because i had never noticed it before but i can replicate the sound anytime now , without even having to move the car much.

I get it when really cold as well. Warmed up to 5 today and all gone so I will say temp related.
Get all sorts of weird and wonderful noises when it is really cold and I have gave up listening for them all. If still there after it warms up take it in but I bet it goes away.

I'm having same issue, thinking back on it I'm not sure if it still squeaks when she's warmed up ill have to remember to pay attention on my commute. To add to this, I've noticed that during the squeaking when turning the wheel I can actually feel the squeaking vibrate down to the gas pedal. I think I saw someone say this may be remedied with applying white grease in a certain spot but not sure...

I have that squeak too, vibrates down to the pedals also. I had it in to get it fixed but it was warm that day - couldn't replicate go figure hahaaha! Anyway, going to soak the thing in lub when it's warmer out there.

Did you find the problem? What exactly are you lubing? I've noticed the same exact thing, even the vibration in the pedal.

I don't know yet. It's probably the bearing around the column. It's way to cold out there for me to crouch under there .

I've started to get this problem as well, it's around 20-40F around here. If the problem persists in the warm weather...guess it'll be time to take something apart.
