Dead pixels in stock 2013 base stereo

The display on my stock stereo is slowly disappearing(the pixels are dying and failing to light up). I'm to the point where the only way to read things that are displayed is to scroll them to the top line, read it, then scroll it down one line to select it. The bottom line is gone completely and the middle line is more-or-less useless. I think the 2 year warranty on the car has run out. What are my options for fixing this? I'm not sure if the car come with a longer warranty for non-powertrain related parts... anyone know?

I'm willing to entertain suggestions of aftermarket head units, but would really prefer a Toyota sized unit (unless someone can show me a double DIN conversion that looks nice) if I go this route and am not looking to drop more than ~500 USD ish.

Anyone else with a similar experience? Suggestions?

Can't you just get it replaced under warranty?

Is it part of the basic 2 year warranty, or something else? My 2 year is up...

Edit: after looking into it a bit, the 2 year thing is just included maintenance. Normal warranty is 3 years! Looks like I'll be getting a new stereo soon.
