Can you please consider adding brake duct while still keeping the stock fog lights? So for example left fog light closest to outer wheel and brake duct closer to the mouth of the bumper. Would be nice if the lip is integrated, but have the lip a little bit higher than the ground and have an option to have skid pads for the bumper so it protects the paint of the lower parts of the bumper. |

sorry to bump an old topic, but has anyone tried taking the mustache off and putting some mesh or drilling the mustache? I'm considering the idea of putting a drift armor bar, and cutting the mustache to help cool a front mounted turbo set up (FBM). Any pros/cons? appreciate it!!!

IMHO, I think the risk of modifying the moustache and having it not come out right doesn't outweigh how much I dislike it. I actually don't really mind it, its a characteristic of the car. I'm a fan of contrast. Having the black there, matches my skirt kit and the rims.
@DNAPoPo That's an amazing picture of your car.

Subaru owners around my neck of the woods frequently do stuff like this to their cars.
I haven't seen one yet, but it's gonna happen. |

anyone has data, that eliminating the moustache or drilling holes in it, will in fact improve cooling? I mean, yes, more air will flow in, plus a vented hood, leads me to believe it will improve cooling a lot... but cant find data... =(
thanks! |

I don't think the paint matching looks that great, but luckily its not my car its happening to. If you want it, go for it. Personally, I'm tearing the grille off of my FRS when the weather gets a bit nicer.

I have the Satin White and had the Mustache wrapped in white Carbon Fiber and a Mesh Grille Put on. Came out Incredible. I will post Pics. Also, Had Splash Guards wrapped in White Carbon Fiber with SUBARU in RED decal at Bottom.

If I had a BRZ instead of an FR-S I'd paint or wrap it gloss black -
I've only ever seen one paint-matched BRZ bumper garnish in person, and it was on a white BRZ. It looked pretty good, but I think it definitely depends on the color of the car. I've seen a few cars that had it deleted too which also looked good, but I'm not sure if that compromises anything that might trigger the air bag sensitivity, or anything like that. |

The answer is just to make it (cut, form, fiberglass, 3d print, whatever) look like the STi concept mustache. First person to do it, gets a thumbs up

I'm wanting to give it a shot and see if I can create an STI-concept style mustache cover. After looking at some pics with the bumper off there seems to be enough of a relief in the foam bumper piece to actually make a functional port for the stock cold air intake too! I've made small batch carbon and fiberglass parts before, so if it turns out well I could make a small batch to share with the community as well! I'm gonna go on the hunt for a trashed stock bumper (with intact mustache, duh). If anyone spots one for cheap, let me know! |
