Why don't you just borrow/rent a car?

You should post on iClub or something. Subi people are more likely to have snow tire set-ups laying around and many will be on 5x100 wheels.

Unfortunately, I'm not too active on other forums, but I'll give it a try. My family is going for 5 days and I have a seat reserved for me in the SUV. It's just that I don't want to (can't either cause of work) go for all 5 days. I kind of just wanted to show up for the weekend. I'm looking into rentals too. This would be my 4th rental this year, fml. I might as well just buy a beater 😅 .

Yes, I had mine start at 4500 miles I think. I got Subaru to replace the wheel and attempt to run the crickets away at the same time. It seems to be somewhat common from what I can tell... you may only get the dealer to replace it once though...

The new wheel looks like its a different material (matte ish finish) compared to the old one. I don't know if it will hold up better but I'm at just under 10k and it seems better so far. If it happens again, ill go alcantara...

I was at Stevens Creek looking at the 15' model, their steering wheel is a different material (same look and design). I read on here that they'd replace it if it starts to peel, with the newer material. I guess they are aware of their old material doesn't last. I am thinking about being really rough on it and have it peel so I can get a new wheel.

I wonder if the '15 FRS wheel got updated. Ill have to head over to the dealer later to find out. Mine is pretty bad.

Front left tire off my 07 tC. Can this amount of uneven wear on the inner edge be caused by a car that's never been aligned, or is something else going on here? It looks pretty dramatic just for uneven alignment wear, almost like something was physically rubbing. Thoughts?

Anyone else notice a severe increase in bullying on the roads when in your brz/frs? mainly 680-80-880. of all the cars I have owned and the massive amount of miles I drive, I have never had to deal with so many insane tail gaitors and people trying to smash my car, be it merging into me etc.

It looks as if something was rubbing on the very inside, i think toe wear would be alot more then just that 1inch of wear,

Failed to align my car after messing with the tierods, 2months later this shows up

Yeah, in your pic that's what I'm accustomed to seeing with alignment wear. Not sure what could be rubbing on it.

Wife took it to the tire shop and they only suggested low PSI or alignment as the culprits.

did you smell burning rubber with that much wear? could you have ran something over that got wedged in your suspension. doubt you would've been able to get the wheel on if there was that much interference.
