Thanks for the fun all...
Today I said goodbye to my FR-S. It's been a fun 2+ years, but it was time to get something more suited to my new family. Thanks to all for the great information I've found here! LFL (lurker for life).

They actually make those?
I thought that was a Jalopnik joke... Enjoy! They even make a 3 series GT now...heh... Talk about taking notes from VAG!

Nice car, but this is where BMW confuses the heck out of me. I understand that Gran coupe is a sedan with coupe styling (roof), but shouldn't it be a 3-series Gran coupe? I thought they changed over to the 4-series moniker for the 2-doors.

The 4 Series Gran Coupe has the awful frameless windows too. After my experience with them on my FR-S, I will never own another car with them again. It's infuriating having them freeze and never work properly as soon as it gets below 40 degrees outside.
At least the 335i doesn't have that problem. |

My wife's mini has frameless windows that do the little auto up/down thing when you close/open the door. She's never had a freezing issue. My old Subarus were frameless and had no issues, but they didn't auto-up/down. They also had terrible wind noise. Haha Sent from Tandy 400 |

Work fine here too as long as you have the updated seals. Had the whole window caked in ice and snow a few times now and the window worked like a charm.

Last I knew, they changed the names of their models to even numbers for those that have a drop-top option and the odd numbers are those models which don't have that option available.
