In the past we did have some chrome plated headers for some tuner as they requested that finish, but I agree that it's good to be able to see the quality of the welds.
For a few recent components we did some "electro-polishing" before welding. No chrome but a nice polished look but you can still see the quality of the TIG welds:

I'd like to have that quality for the 86 system, at least for the headers.
That collector looks like it's heavier gauge than the primaries going into it. Without a close look I would say these are so-so. I think the ones from you guys that impressed me were the M5/M6 ones. But holy $hit expen$ive. Plus just eyeballing the pics it didn't look like they were equal length. Is that correct? Were you trying to widen the range of the gains?

To put things in perpective, how long or how many are made in a day? I realize that your guys are working on much tighter time constraints, so consider my 'so-so' as being compared to a pro fabricator making some for his own car over a few days. As mass produced go (and a lot of custom stuff) they are well done.

They are equale lenght. We have two version, a short ones that allow the presence of the cats, and a "race" one for fully catless setups.
On the last one with an ECU tune you get 60+ hp of power gain on the SLS.

It's hard to tell the total man-hour that go into each header kit as every step is made at a different time.
Starting from the reference gig and all the data available (bending program ready, flanges already designed and cutted etc) it needs a few days to bend all the pipe for a 10+ pieces batch.
Then all the pipes are sent for the surface treatment.
At the same time a different guy prepare the collectors.
Then it'll take 1, 1 and a half day to weld a single kit (left + right)

Good review with videos of the valved exhaust we make for the M3 E92 under the Evolve brand.
Something similar for the 86 would be awesome:

What I want to see is an all titanium catback single exit exhaust. Trying to find an exhaust shop here who does custom titanium is a real challenge.

Drone can be tuned out by exhaust design.

Yes, you can use a resonator, but it's going to be very loud anyway.

Fixed that. I was thinking more of a branch resonator if it suffers from drone.
Wouldn't the noise level be dependent on the number and dimensions of the muffler/s? <--- Serious question.

Yes a branch resonator can work but on a limited rev range. If the exhaust drones from 2000 to 4000 it won't work!

Noise level depends on:
-size of the pipes
-thinkness of the pipes
-number, size, posizion (longitunal or transversal) and type (straight flow or chambers) of the silencers
-resonators
-number and type of the cats
-design of the endpipes

The 86 sounds better and with that rear fascia, looks better too (minus the chrome).

But the tips are too big regardless...
