Not that I am aware of, I think they are pretty small and keep everything in house.

So I just pulled the trigger on the RacerX lower control arms with the urethane bushings. I will be going on a trip next week, but hopefully I will have a nice package waiting for me when I get back.

So, in the interests of being lazy, I don't want to deal with taking the tophats off the rear to put on my KWs. Should I just buy another set of stock tophats? Or is there any benefit to something that adds some height (bump travel) in the rear?

My thinking would be that there would only be a benefit if the amount bumpstop travel with the oem is not enough, if you haven't put the coilovers on yet, it might be hard to say. By no means am I an expert though.

Yeah, I'm just hoping someone else has already done the legwork on that line of thought. Certainly getting some stock tophats is pretty cheap compared to the aftermarket rear tops that are out there.

The other thing to consider is I should probably just copy what the previous owner of the suspension did, given they had a lot of success with it.

For reference, I am about to swap out my rears to gain back some bump travel in the rear the car is lacking.

I am looking to do this for the same reason as @conedodging. I have been waiting hopefully for a holiday sale.

Anyway, how low are you? I am going to set for 1.25 - 1.5in and haven't decided on the 1in or 2in top mounts.

How do you think those compare to the ones from HVT?

I was looking at those today. Car is still stock, but I'm beginning to plan my slow STX build.

Ok, I am at a crossroads. I am planning to run a fairly full season for the first time. I am currently on stock wheels, 225/45 bridgestone s04 serving dual purpose, RCE yellow spings, and no power mods.

I have a set of Konis waiting to go on but need to replace one. This is leaving me stuck in endless flip flopping on end result build for my goals. I want to be locally competitive in a couple seasons and had planned to do so on the RCE yellows and Koni struts with proper tires and wheels and some larger sway bars to compensate for the softer springs.

My real question is am I better off right now getting tires instead of more suspension bits like installing the Konis? And in the end how much better would a coilover setup (Feal 441 or Tein Street Flex) be than the RCE yellows with Koni inserts? Would it be worth the additional cost (I basically got the Konis for free so no loss selling them)?

If your goal is to run competitively then the absolute most important thing to change is your tires. There are only a small handful of tires that will allow you to be competitive. Without a model in this small group, no amount of suspension work you do will allow you to make up the difference.

Now the real question you have to ask yourself is, am I misleading you because you are going to try to take my Sac Chapter STX title next year??? j/k

How does everyone else feel about this? I'm trying to not be knee-jerk, and stick to the "wait and see" camp while sticking with my prep plans. But it is a classing that just doesn't make sense. It's a better car than the 9-14, but gets into the lower class? On what merit?
