Yes, it would be nice if they could merge them. With that being said, 00NissanNinja's thread needs to somehow keep his first post on this thread as the first post for the entire thread since he is willing to update the players list as people join. Not sure if that is possible since his thread started after the other one?

I asked the mods twice to merge as soon as I made my thread but I was ignored...

There's only one way this will work. The mod will have to go through and delete every post that was made before he made the initial thread. So we're going to lose a whole lot of it.

edit: for those of you that joined LoH, I posted up on the clan wall. We'd like to start doing a semi-regular VoG run, so any input onto days that will work better for us to get something together, by all means go ahead and post up.

They can't append the other thread at the end of this one? Other forums I've been on have done that.

Cool, I saw you said 9:30 eastern which is pretty much good for me on fridays and saturdays. The rest of the week I'd only have an hour and a half to play past 9:30. I'll post up on the clan page too, would be nice to have a semi regular meet for the raids and future raids.

The way vBulletin software worked when I was moderating, if you go to merge two threads it does just that. Merges them, but retains the posts in order by time. I suppose something could've changed to tack it onto the end, but I think that might be a user preference thing too (display posts: oldest to newest, etc).

Even if that's all we've got, an hour and a half is fine really. Once we get everything down to a smooth run we could easily complete it in a few hours. As long as everyone shows up on time you can get a lot done in an hour and a half.

Well, I don't mind asking someone else but I'd also prefer not to lose any posts. I used to moderate on a forum that used vBulletin, been so long though can't remember how the merging option works. Maybe best to just keep the two seperate threads. Besides, maybe it's better if we don't clobber the "user" thread with too many posts, might make it less confusing for new people. Just update it as new people come along?

It depends on how the forum works. If there is an edit window (60 days or something, and you can't edit your post) then it doesn't matter which thread remains. After X time the OP won't be able to edit. So we have a couple of choices.

1. A mod updates the first post, and we can merge the threads. Said mod will need to copy/paste the new post into the first post when there's an update. I don't think it's a big deal, and I used to do this for GenCoupe. Took all of a minute.

2. There isn't a window for editing, so we close the other thread and rename this one to "The Official Destiny Thread." That just keeps everything in one spot.
