Go for it. They didn't do it because it would have raised the cost.

We have the capabilities to do it but it does add cost as @gramicci101 stated. Some people like the edge, others don't, it's hard to please everyone with a part we produce in large quantities.

On that note, we did recently produce a one off custom splitter. It is rather expensive due to shipping charged and added labor. But it is an option for you guys if someone wants something unique.

Thanks,
Eric

I thought that they might fit through one of the spaces on the FRS grille, glad you confirmed it for @eric6. I was too lazy and just cut mine out lol. Looks good, and hopefully this will put others at ease. I found it odd so many were concerned about cutting a $35 grill, shrugs.

It is in the pdf installation packet. From tie rod to tie rod, the distance is approximately 18.50". This is all located on the top of page 11 here http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/inst...aceinstall.pdf.

Thanks

If you can post a picture of the location of the intercooler, I could more accurately answer that question. For the most part, intercoolers appear to be installed *behind* or *under* the crash beam, and these are installed in front of the crash beam.

A few posts up, this shows where the brackets mount to the crash beam.

I have the Perrin Oil Cooler and the mounts do not come close to interfering. Coolers (air or oil) mount under the crash beam, while the splitter supports mount to the front of the beam.

That makes sense! I'm almost sure that the FMIC I have (Kraftwerks) sits behind/under the crash beam, so I will double check later today. I really like this splitter. Functional, has data and can take the abuse of daily driving.
