So I've got the new antenna installed. The part number is 86960. It's for the Avalon, but I know they also put them on the Camry. It no not plug and play though. There is a little bit of modifying to make it fit. The reason it dosen't work is because the stock FRS antenna has a built in amplifier in it and this new one draws power from another one. So I'll work on functionality later. I'll probably just unwire it and rewire the original antenna and mount it inside the car somewhere. But as of right now my car just looks sexy.

Why no company has jumped on offering a plug n play option yet is a head-scratcher. Yes, it won't be cheap, but it is a much better looking option than the sharkfins or shorty antennas... |
