I'm in western NC. Red 2013 Firestorm FR-S. There doesn't seem to be a big 86 presence here which seems kinda weird because the roads are amazing!

I called around to locate a series.blue at the right price and ended up with finding a great deal at Modern Subaru in Boone. I'll be driving there from durham to pick it up next week. Unfortunately,I won't be getting too wild while breaking it in but that also means I will get on back roads through some towns to break up the highway drive. Any specific spots out there you could recommend?

I just went up 66 to the va line from Winston and had a blast
One of the motorcycle sites called it the mini dragons tail. Would love to meet with some other twins in the area and go driving. Or if you guys know any other roads I'd love to know. |

My family and I moved here from St. Louis about a year ago and I must say the roads around here are so much more enjoyable. A couple months ago we camped out at Lake St. James and while the kids were asleep in the back, we wore them out so they passed out early, the wife and I drove up the 226/226A loop. Beautiful country.
This is the route I was thinking of for the drive from Boone. Google Map There seems to be a lot of you all in Winstom-Salem. Any recommendations for dinner and a beer? It will be a Tuesday, the 22nd, that I drive through but if anyone is free I wouldn't mind saying hi. |

Im not sure about the 22nd, I never know when Im off work during the week
But I would like get to know some local owners. Is there enough interest to start a triad meet thread to do meet or drives? On a side note, I was driving around w/s salem today and I saw a white gt-r that my wife has seen a couple times, as I was debating on turning around to go see it a bit better, this pizza delivery guy goes by me and out of the corner or my eye I could tell it was a old Toyota, and im pretty sure it was a corolla gt-s, 3door but in red. I WAS going to go chase him down until the wife reminded me did have plans... maybe next time |
