Hah, comparing an STI to a Toyobaru the turbo vs. NA would be the very last thing I list.

2 vs 4 door
RWD vs AWD
2,800 lbs vs 3,400 lbs
200 hp vs 305 hp
$26k vs. $34k

And of course the built in picnic table:

Great that you got the car you wanted OP, enjoy!

Congrats on the trade!
I really want to do something similar in the future as well. After about 7 months of ownership of the 86, I've been seriously wanting a more practical car, considering my active lifestyle. Unfortunately, I can't do so because the MY2015 STi still has the old EJ motor inside of it . Hopefully when I'm finished paying for the 86, I can either trade it in for a newer and "faster" 86 or WRX STi. If not, I'll just try and buy one after I graduate from college.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Took the ol girl on a drive over Bear Creek road today and wow was it fantastic. I highly suggest taking that road for a spin if you want some fun twisties.

Car performed phenomenal. Love, love, love this thing.

Great road, I try to hit it regularly during off-peak hours, avoid bikers etc. When I get a bit tired of the tight twisties, I head over to Skyline Blvd for more leisurely drive.

Congrats man! Hope to make the plunge the day I have kids and the BRZ is no longer suitable. Although, I do hope I will still be able to keep my BRZ :\

Congrats!! Looks real nice I am glad to hear that the 2015 WRX's are just as good as handling like the brz so you get the best of both worlds! Subaru really did take what they learned from the BRZ and implement it in the 15 WRX's.

I have also been considering doing exactly the same thing (either a 2015 WRX or 2015 WRX STi... however I'm leaning more towards the WRX after doing some research as it would be my DD), but as of right now I have other things of more financial importance (such as moving out and buying my own home)... so can't exactly do this at this time but definitely in the near future.

Enjoy your new ride and keep us updated of how it goes!

Thanks for the love. I'll most definitely be pretending it's still a BRZ and posting photos ect... on the forum haha. Good group of people so no sense in ditching out.

Anybody have any good tint shop recommendations and/or places to possibly get the car OPTI-COATED?
