That leaves me with the more expensive tS pieces in a dark dark grey with nicer finish, or painting the stock pieces.

Can anyone offer advice on the finish and scratchability (making up words here) of a well done DIY paint with clear coat verses these very nice pieces from Japanparts? It is the finished look and function that concerns me and not the fact of it being OEM+ or not. Thanks.
I found an Anthracite carbon fiber 3M Vinyl wrap that I plan on using for the dash trim. It looks the closest to the tS dash trim as it is more of a silver carbon than a black carbon. The Anthracite color is a grayish carbon and should work nicely. Next month it will be done. Almost time for me to come home. I will post pics when I finish it.

Why don't you guys just order the dash trim for the 2015 LHD BRZ?

I'm still thinking about it. A part of me wants to keep the car correct as a 2014 by keeping the silver dash trim (I'm modding the car with factory STI parts only because I want to keep this car forever like a true classic lol).

Wait... 2015 BRZ gets a new dash trim too? I was thinking it was just the FR-S!

Edit: Just read up on some news. Forgot I already read about that!

I'll be waiting for the new interior dash trim from the '15 model. I'm hoping it'll be exactly like the one from the tS.

It should be, otherwise we'll have to get the FRS version. Someone in this thread please keep us updated on the availability.

It is NOT ok, if you really recieved an Stock OEM Air Filter with only the STI word printed on it

I know that the user "Krayzie" also ordered the STI Filter !
I hope he can also say something about the Filter soon !

and when it is really a FAKE ,and it seems like that after the first inspection here ..... then please contact Japanparts !

The TRD Air Filter is really a special one , different to the Stock.

But the STI Filter seems really to be a piece of an expensive Japan Joke

The thing is, that we all really spend lots of dollars and euros for that STI Stuff ! and we all work hard for our money !

So, that is the reason why i want fair trade !

When you get it, look closely between the STI one and the stock Denso one, the materials on them are different colors. STI one is a little greenish, Denso one is very white.

If you understand Japanese goods (I'm not that old but grew up during the 80's Asian economic boom), you will have no problems accepting the fact that two extremely lookalike products may have vastly different levels of build and material quality, reflected mainly by their difference in pricing.
