Rob just emailed me and said he is sorting out a couple of changes with gums and the RHD ESC kit.

Hey Stormalong,

I'm down the 401 in London and I'd love to see your ESC install when you get it tuned. I've been hoping someone in the GTA/SWO would take the plunge so I can see if it is as good as everyone claims. I can't make the meet this weekend. Any other opportunities coming up?

Thanks!

I said it before and here I'll say it again.
If I had this system with an AT, I would wire a relay in series with the floor switch and activate it by the Sport button. It's a natural.

Well an 86 eventually but until I get that sorted, the ol' Magna (Diamante). By what I have read, somebody has dropped one into a Camry over in the States and it made things a hell of a lot more interesting. This is what I need! And the best part? Apart from some fittings and what not - it's transferable to my future as of yet 'unmade' 86! I need something to tie me over until late next year.

I do love this tune. Mike at Moto-East (sorry, Mike, I HAD to give you the credit!) did the tune for me and whenever I want to make changes he gets me the new ROM file pronto.

Nlowell do you know if you needed a specialized tune for OFH? I got mine this week and am looking to install it soon.

Thanks
There is a special ESC tune that Shiv sends out. My only issue is that it seems to have a spike in AFR in <5k range. I can definitely feel it in power delivery. The power seems to roll-on and really kick in about 5k and I'd like to feel it earlier (especially in 2nd gear). I paid the $200 for eTune just to get some attention but I decided to wait for the e85 to dial it in. I kind of feel like I'm paying $200 to try and get us some attention but it's not really working out yet...

Hmm, Shiv is in honeymoon mode and you're feeling a little screwed.
Interesting.

Well, to his defence he is a paying customer and it should be expected that paying customers should get service

I suppose all those years of electric supercharger frauds have put enthusiasts' radar on "BS" mode whenever the subject is raised. In my case, I had never heard of such a thing before, so I had no preconceived notions on the subject at all. Was just looking for a good solution to the torque situation.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but just looking at what Rob has done with this kit, this has all been made possible by advancements in battery technology in the last few years. Is this an accurate statement?

It really is everything. The controller and compressor that Rob has picked make the difference. Early systems people were making were trying to use the cars 12v source and would suck power off fhd alternator making 0 power. This has a dedicated 24v battery bank to power a high power motor.
