Ive had to load stock map and bring the SC down to lowest boost possible to run the car on the stock map.
80mm and normal belt.

started up no crickets, which leads me to think the Blue gates could be causing the problem as it is slightly smaller and places alot more tension on the tensioner pulley.

the starnge thing is i have run the car for 100km with teh stock map, no CEL have come on, which is concerning me.

Car is in at the dealership, hoping nothing serious
Some feedback

Toyota did a full diagnostics on my car, including ECU check.
Pulled cam sensors out, checked cam gears
VVT and timing
Everything is 100% operating correctly

So stock file with SC 80mm pulley driving 200km no CEL and car perfect.
We did notice the oil was dark and thick, would could be causing the problem, so we did a oil change as precaution.

I have asked Bill for the new 8.58 tune to check if any CEL comes on with the new tune as it has been with 8.5, 8.51, 8.54 Ill keep the 80mm on if no a CEL, I'll drop to 75mm and then to 70mm to do elimination.
I'm not putting the BG belt back on its just too tight and makes the tension pulley squeak.

Further to the above I have sent Ecutek a mail to investigate why after I flash the ECU, map 1 I'm not getting CEL but the moment I switch to map 2 I'm getting Cel within 100m of driving.
I've just had the latest Ecutek upgrade downloaded prior to CEL problem.

None of the above may be applicable but I have to do elimination process

PO016 is the CEl code for reference

Its incredible how much you do for this kit @Ryan86. I really appreciate all your posts and findings. Hopefully you and Bill can figure things out and report back to the rest of us.

I haven't had any codes pop up on 8.52, but i'm running e85 right now. Not turning this back into a delicious map thread, but just figured i'd make mention.

Appreciated.

I'm more than 100% sure it's nothing to do with tuning! as I've used the same versions for the past 4 months without any CEL.
Problem is trying to pin point the cause of this CEL, as why is it not coming on with stock map?.?.
I'm relieved Toyota is happy there is nothing wrong with the car.

Its awesome how your dealer checks all these things for you even though you have the supercharger installed

I have read on here about coil pack going bad with innovate sc (search), supposedly due to high heat. Might have been a speculation, the owners of innovate will hopefully chime in.

The coil pack issue is not SC related.
We are having many NA stock 86 with coil pack issues. There is speculation the cause is due to bad earthing, which is under investigation.
Strangely 98% of the cars I know of the coil packs that have packed up have been on the coast, very few inland.

Added octane booster to my CA 91 gasoline. Haven't heard a chirp. Might be coincidence....?? I have driven about 400 miles this week and haven't heard a noise after three weeks of on and off chirps.

Not a huge believer in octane booster, but it's hard not to notice.

- Faulty ignition coil 2
- Fuel injector 2 harness is open or shorted
- Fuel injector 2 circuit poor electrical connection
- Ignition coil 2 harness is open or shorted
- Ignition coil 2 circuit poor electrical connection
- Insufficient cylinder 2 compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Intake air leak
What does this mean?

I've done 400km on my OEM file with 80mm pulley with no CEL. So I can verify car is happy and Toyota are happy. TICK
I decided to change to 75mm pulley to verify if a slight more boost would trigger a CEL, drove 80km no CEL. TICK
Decided to load the one tune from Bill I've had on my car the longest for 75mm pulley than did not have any problems. 5.81.
As I load the file Ecutek indicates a DCT at the end of completion PU001, I started the car and drove for 100m CEL came on PO016.
Drove back home loaded stock file back in and drove 60km no CEL.

Something is going wrong either tune or SW related.
