it's still the stock 75mm pulley that came with the kit. gotta admit, my friend and i are kinda confused as to why the pulley didn't come with higher walls on the pulley to make it less likely the belt woudl come off

Yep I remember this.

@wrxgoose - Have you reached out to Innovate at all?

I think i've asked this or suggested it...could all be resolved i'm sure by sending it out to innovate and under warranty.

On wrxgooses car the whole blower seems to sit nose high, which is making the pulley lean back a few degrees more than all the other pulley. This is letting the belt walk to the back of the pulley when the tensioned loosens upon hard engine decel. Say the wheels are spinning and you let off the gas and the tensioned shutters the belt will jump back on rib. We had the pulley runout checked and its perfect. I'm looking into having a pulley made with a lip to retain the belt. I don't know when sprintex made a lip less pulley to begin with. I'm also in contact with innovate/sprint ex to see in this will be warrenty.

I also checked the mating surfaces between the blower and the engine to see is I screwed up during the install but everything is good.

There is an area that needed to be filed down before placing the blower manifold onto the engine. I think it is near the alternator. Maybe that is a possibility or maybe some other casting tolerance issue is not letting the blower sit true?

we did file the alternator, and there's no contact. thought of that too, but no joy.

Honestly, they're extremely loose. I was able to just use a pick to back the bolt out, as another member suggested. It worked great for me on the 2 that broke.

I originally bought a screw extractor set, but quickly realized it wasn't needed.

It sounds like a mating surface was machined incorrectly. I don't see Innovate covering previous belts, but they hopefully will correct the issue. I'd be surprised if they didn't want investigage the cause as well.

Good luck if you have to deal with sprintex, I have seen them not stand behind this product once already.
