My point is that, if you have the money and don't give flying fuck, 1-5% better spool for 2k-4k more cost in research and development, go ahead. I can think of much better more efficient ways to get better spool.

And if you think having power at 2100 is really worth something then you must be re-living the 80's when V8's had a 5k redline.
Lol, there's so much sillyness in this post it's almost not even worth the trouble. Either you missed my insinuation or are just avoiding actually answering the question. If only BMW had hired you so you could teach them about valve timing, lol. Please go teach BMW how to give a flying fuck. I see you also have a talent for pulling magic numbers from your ass, so that could save them money too.

There's plenty of impressions out there from other reputable sources about the performance of BMW twin scroll turbos versus your personal impressions with your Evo.

I guess Chris Harris, myself and pretty much every daily driver are living in the 80s. Must be why all the major auto makers tune their turbo engines to produce most of their torque by 2-2.5k. I guess they have money to waste and don't give a flying fuck either. Spot on analysis there.

For reference:

Twin scroll versus twin turbo (feel free to compare that to a single small turbo with a retarded exhaust cam)

Hey bro if you like to go around racing between 2100-2700 rpm that's cool man good luck. Dynograph shows everything you need to know, twin scroll giving you more trq for 600 rpm in an rpm range you will likely not be racing at. (For all that matters you have no proof that's even just from a twin scroll setup and has nothing to do with the tune, because you need to change the tune to be optimal v/s non-twin scroll)

I'll be in the 4k+ range where the real power matters.

My kit is for fun right now, see what works. Once you build a jig your stuck with that design. Im not ready to settle yet.

Hmmmm all of this twin scroll talk makes my 9:1 compression motor hungry for low RPM power. Would it be possible for me to replace my current turbo with a twin scroll and retune, and be on my way? I'm currently at 350whp on a Precision 5431E, would a twin scroll net less power at the top end? I would need a setup that holds at least a straight horizontal line on the dyno.

I'm just trying to find a way to gain power <3500rpm because the lag that 9:1 compression is giving is no fun.

No you can't simply swap between single and twin scroll turbos. The manifold and collectors are different, they're split for twin scroll.

As an example

That turbo you have is kinda lethargic...swap on a smaller ball bearing gtx and it will take care of the problem without having to re-do you're whole setup.
