Anyone go back to NJMP Lightning & Summit Pt Shenandoah with NA power mods? Just looking for a point of reference from a bolt-on BRZ/FR-S.

While I haven't done any powermods other than a drop in filter, my car makes more power than most for some reason. I dyno'd at 181whp on a dynojet where most peoples' stock cars came in around 160-165whp.

So, I'd say my time for at least Shenandoah should be fairly representative. I know I could go faster there by being a bit more aggressive in a few places so I'd say a 1:43 is definitely possible, probably a 1:42 as well on street tires.

I wouldn't place much stock in my time at NJMP Lighting, since that was my first time on a track so I know I've got several seconds I could make up there.

Gotcha! A 42sec NA with street tires wouldn't be a bad time at Shenandoah.

You can find some better times for NJMP on NASA's North East TT results.

Currently, the TTC record (class where S2000 starts) was set by an S2000 with a 1:17.7 With the way NASA's TT program works, it probably had suspension, bolt-ons, and either some sort of streetable R-Comp (Toyo R888) or Hoosiers, so I'd say pretty much anything under 1:20 on streets would be pretty good.

More track records (NASA NE):

Yeah, both me and the dyno operator, @Pure Automotive were pretty surprised. Our best guess was that my cars has been properly beat-on (just finished my 12th trackday a couple weeks ago and its been through about a season and a 1/2 of autocross on top of being a daily driver for everything but winter).

I wan't to get a full exhaust and tune (that's right, I'm still on the stock tune) but with NASA's point system it would come down to either the exhaust or Hoosier's, and I think Hoosier's will make me quicker than exhaust

NASA TT wouldn't be a good representation due to the low turn out (at least in the NE region). Ran 15s at Lightning & 40 flat on my first/only time at Shenandoah. But this is with a lighter & a little bit more powerful car. So the BRZ is running in good times.

Good job!

If you're willing to deviate from the DE line, you can pick up some time in both Big Bend and the Lefthander:

If you make a diamond out of BB, you can hold more of your straightaway speed longer; at 1:20 in this video, you can see the line going in - you'll have a slightly different line coming out since you don't have 11"-wide race tires - listen to how he modulates the throttle going through and out of two:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56uANBa60LU"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56uANBa60LU[/ame]

With the Lefthander, go through in the middle of the track so that you use the banking that's there. You'll have more grip, it's shorter, and it's safer. Eyes up, and watch that you don't lose the rear-end as you roll on the throttle after the apex. Starting at around :35 in this video, Auberlen drives it and walks you through the line (without saying why):
