It's my personal theory that the flatness of the plate messes up the airflow. I don't know if it's true or not.

Thanx alot. I appreciate it. Theyre bfg's sport comp 2's 245/40r17's & on coilovers. About 1 1/4" from fenders

You've done a fantastic job! Love the look! I actually picked my BRZ up in San Antonio just three weeks ago. Are those the stock tail lights? If so what did you do to get them to turn out like that?

I have been thinking about doing this as well....How is the finish, it looks as if they are somewhat glossy (which is what I want)? I've seen others who did the same and it turned out really flat red. Did you apply any kind of clear coat? Sorry for all the questions, but after seeing your car, I want to do my tail lights now, and I want it to turn out right! lol! Thanks for the info!

I agree I do gotta change my side markers just havent gotten around to it lol. Got bigger fish to fry. & its a glossy finish but id add clear coat to ir. I didnt but wish I did. Cuz it starts to fade over time & after washes
