good oil for my 86

hi all

i use my car like a track , i drive it every day 300 km with 140 -180 km/h so it rev highly to 4.5 - 5 k . so that is extremely condition for 4 cly car . the weather is hot in my country . it is min 5c im winter and to 50c at summer .

0w20 is recommended oil for D4s boxer engine . hard to find it .
so there is 3 kind of oil in my mind
0w30 , 5w30 and 5w40.
what is the good one of my condition. i use 5w30
thx

You should be fine with 5W30. Invest in a simple oil cooler (Forester XT DIY or Cusco) to prolong health of engine in hot temps.

Ading to what mav said, any major brand full synthetic should be fine, I also recommend an oil cooler.

i test my 86 under 3700 RPM load (intake and air temps is 31) @ 140km cursed , the oil temp is 103c and water temp is 87- 90c .
under 4500-5000 RPM load ,same intake and air temps @180 - 200km < the oil temps goes up to 109c .

in the summer will be more then 115c under 4500rpm loads .

so do i have use external oil cooler?

Not absolutely necessary if you do not plan to track your car. It is recommended to have one if you do intend to do performance driving.

I always recommend high quality oil for tracking as it will effectively continue to lubricate your engine properly at elevated temperatures. Motul 300V 0W20 for tracking and DD. Motul 8100 0W20 for spirited driving and DD.
