You guys may have got this already, button remove the panel I started by the speaker. There are no clips there so it has a gap to get under.

For the silver piece go from the bottom to pull it off.

Great write-up! An audio install is one of the first things on my list to do when I get home, so this will be very helpful.

Help got some coins stuck inside and they are rolling like there is no tomorrow when I move. I guess it's inside the door. I think it went threw the cup area. Do I have to take the whole door out?

Thread revival! I accidentally rolled the window down with a parking sticker affixed to my window, when I rolled the window back up the sticker got lost down in the door. Will this get me to it?

Yes you'll be able to access it once the panel is off. You'll have to remove the plastic liner on the actual door skin itself to get to where the window track is. Reach down towards the bottom and you'll get whatever was dropped.

Sweet. Thanks! The plastic liner is glued on with that black goop. Will that stuff reseal properly if I just press it back on?

It should. It probably won't come off in 1 swift "swoop" though as that black stuff they use is pretty nasty. Some people recommend to take off when it's hot, I recommend when it's cold - because adhesive doesn't work as well in the cold so less residue.

I'm leaving mine off when I do my doors as I'm just doing a full sound deadening with Dynamat Xtreme and Dynaliner. That's an added expense though of course.

What the heck is the plastic sheeting for, anyway? I've heard some refer to it as a "vapor barrier"?

I removed the panel but I have no idea how to fix the loose window ...

The plastic that's behind the door panel ..can I just remove it and throw it away or is this necessary?

That's a very important vapor and noise barrier. The inside of our doors gets very wet.

I used a razor blade to carefully slice away at the black adhesive stuff while stretching it to separate the plastic from the door.

The window adjustment is a different story. First off, your window doesn't look loose. It looks pretty normal. What else brings you to the conclusion that something is wrong?

Getting the window adjusted properly is a HUGE deal. I've had mine apart 3 times to tinker and get it just right. Last year I got a little ahead of myself and promised a DIY. Then I figured out how tricky the adjustment actually is. I'm still not confident I can explain it effectively.
