Re-painted the base coats of the rear diffuser in WRB, must better this time and the few blemishes should disappear with the clear coat. I plan to let the paint sit and cure for a few days before applying the gloss clear coat. I intend to do that this coming Friday. I think I will apply 1-2 more coats of WRB to the top side (the more visible side) in a couple more hours to try and get some color depth.

Maybe tomorrow I will do a dry fit with pictures to get an idea of how it will look. Obviously it won't be glossy, but should be close.

Interested in how that paint matched diffuser turns out. Want to do the same for my white BRZ.

Based off how it is looking with the clear coat freshly applied, but not yet sanded or waxed though, it should be pretty sharp looking.

I participated in my second autocross event today and placed 8th in novice class, I was a mere 0.11 from 6th which had a trophy! Overall, I definitely improved and I am confident that I will continue to do so!

Finished with the exception of drilling a hole under the rear fog light for a bolt to fasten the center of the diffuser. Here are pics of the finished results. The last two pics are a comparison of what it looks like without the bolt and the expected result once I drill and bolt it to the center.

The center gap is bugging me something fierce... I was going to wait until morning, but I think I am just going to go fight the cold and get it over with.... HAH!

So last night i drilled the triangle shaped bottom directly underneath the reverse light / red reflector and bolted the diffuser in. It looks 100x better with that gap taken care of. I bought some other fasteners that I will be using in a couple other spots and then I will take some more photos of the 100% complete finished product.
Also: struts and springs are scheduled for a Thursday delivery from brown Santa!

Well, fedex delivered my shocks today where as UPS sent them past Austin and into San Antonio, because THAT makes sense. They will still be "on time" if delivered tomorrow, but still baffles me that they are going to make them cover the same ground twice...

Well, it will be a few months before the next big expenditure. Probably closer to five or six to be honest. Gotta pay off my bill me later account.
