Hmm stock catback seems to be the way to go for quietness. Wow, just realized that's with header as well. Awesome stuff.

Did nameless scrape the idea of making this with a cat? I didn't see the option on their website...

Quite a few pages back.

There may be a catted version in the future, but as of now there is not a specific timeline available for that.

WTF I thought they were trying to go for STX legal?

Strange, but for most performance no cat is obviously better.

Their "workaround" is for you to leave a cat in your frontpipe.

OK well I guess that works. I'd just also like a cat for noise levels.

Loving this headers sound so far though, full exhaust seems to sound better to me than most UEL + full exhaust, at the top end. I guess I like the EL sound better & the fact its a better design.

Anybody with full exhaust 2.5" ? How loud is it?

Just get a catted front pipe or keep the stock front pipe. The gains from removing the header cat are significantly greater than from removing the second cat.

I'm running the stock cbe.... Might run something at a later date. Definitely quiet at cruise and loud on cold start and semi loud above 4k under load.

@14BRZ I'll retract what I said before about no rattle. This morning, there was a small rattle on intitial startup, but after a few seconds it went away.

Whereas a differently designed intake manifold will literally make an identical torque graph 5-1000 rpms shifted to the "right", a header will instead just lose VE in one spot to gain it in another.

Also, don't put words in my mouth, it happens very often on here.
I'm failing to see a difference in the two, except in how you're describing them.

Tuning runner length/diameter on an intake manifold to shift power does the exact same thing as tuning primary/secondary length/diameter on a header.

You optimize them so the harmonics work in your favour at the RPM range you want.

I'll have a dyno Friday with a JDL EL comparison from another day.

Just received the coated version, they are black / dark grey. Build quality is exceptional as per usual for Nameless. I will post some photos sometime tomorrow.

For those who installed the header, would you mind going through what would be the easiest process? I assume you would:

-Completely remove O2 sensors from OEM header (disconnect the entire wires)
-Remove OEM header
-Clean up area and contact points + install new gaskets (Look here for part # http://www.villagescionparts.com/sho...sembly=1103630)
-Install O2 sensors back into Nameless header (Should spacers be added or is there no point?)
-Lift engine 1-2 inches via oil pan (unbolt passenger side mount)
-Bolt Nameless header onto engine block (Anyone have the torque specs? Has anyone been able to use a torque wrench for those or is space too limited?)
-Use the 2 provided nut and bolts to attach header to front pipe
-Relocate fan connector with provided ziptie

Also - I usually grease most bolts and nuts I remove on a car before putting them back. I know it's not the same situation as an exhaust gets extremely hot, but would you guys apply a graphite grease or something similar to these various bolts and nuts?

Thanks!
