FYI tried some delente tires this weekend, verdict is pretty good. Tires have no grip, smoke quite a bit and I like the smell....smells like Irwindale in October. Only real bad thing was the tires aren't predictable like the stock tires or likely most tires because they are so cheap. They last a very long time too. I like them as good burner tires.

Totally correct. you will have to heat up the bushings and have them beaten out while trying not to get melting rubber on you, then there are metal sleeves around the bushing. Those need to either be sawed off or beaten out. I sawed mine and it suck and put a few gashes in the subframe. Not a fun job..took about 1.5 hours to saw them all out.....that fucking sucked

If I did it again I wouldn't even use fire.

- Drill a large hole in the bushing
- Get sawzall and saw the bushing around the center sleeve until it falls out.
- Use sawzall to cut a slit in the metal surrounding sleeve, don't cut subframe
- Cut another slit in the metal sleeve to make a pie shape, don't cut subframe
- Eat the pie (don't do this)
- Hammer the edge of the sleeve to assist in prying it out
- It will fall out
- That's it your done
- Stop reading this

Has anyone tried running some rear toe out?

I used to find with my silvia that the lines would become more sweeping, if that makes any sense. Our slower (2nd / 3rd gear) drift track here, I used to run zero toe (which is what I run in the gt86 now) and the faster section (3rd and 4th gear) I used to run 2mm total rear toe out, without it, my 260hp silvia couldn't link that course.

I haven't even tried doing the faster course in the gt86 yet, but with my added steering lock, I'm feeling like that and some rear toe out might actually make it achieveable.

But interested if anyone else has tried it on this platform yet?

Normally you would want front toe out and rear toe in. Maybe 1/8" for both.

I'm around this for my front and rear. 1/8" is like .28 degrees

Hmm, I've tried rear toe in and rear zero, and prefer zero. Which is leading me to at least try some rear toe out.

Rear toe out makes the car feel sketchy and unpredictable to me. Zero toe seems to work best or very minor toe in. Toe in on the rear is going to help increase rear stability, which isn't bad, but seeing how don't have any real power to use, we need the car to be less settled and less planted to hold drift at higher speeds around longer corners. Otherwise, we'll just lose our wheel speed and grip back up.

-Negative camber up front
-Zero to minor toe out up front
-Spacers up front for scrub radius
-Less camber in the rear
- Zero to minor toe in on the rear

If the car grips up too much, increase rear tire pressure. If it's too loose, lower rear tire pressure. I've ran anywhere between 35psi to 65psi on the rear tires depending on the conditions and kept the same alignment. The car felt fine every time. Sometimes changing tire pressure or even the tires themselves can make all the difference in the world.

Here's a video from today's event. Header plus tune made a big difference in the way this car drives.

Let's talk sway bars. Who is running aftermarket pieces and what sizes. I believe stock is 18 front and 14 rear. Looking into different setups. Any suggestions.

I'm running -4 camber front -1 rear and dropped about 1.5in for reference. Thinking maybe 22 front and 19 rear. Let me know if that sounds way off...

I have stock sways with spherical links and urethane bushings. I love it and see no reason to upgrade right now. There is FD cars using stock sways with that setup. Spend money on tires!

Yeah I've thought about changing sway bars but I feel like with a couple different changes, I won't need them.

If I were to get any, I was going to get the Eibach ones simply cause they're inexpensive and adjustable.

I have whiteline adjustable sways and I think they made the world of difference.

I wouldn't use the reasoning that because guys in FD aren't using them, they're not worth using.

Those cars have nothing in common with ours.

Picked up a Vector mount for my go pro to catch some sweet video this year. Heading to a 2 day drift event at Mid America Motorplex in Omaha Nebraska this weekend cant wait to use it and finally blow the cobwebs from this winter out and get drifting this season. Also pulled all my drift spares out to get last seasons tires pulled off them so when my new tires show up this week i can put them on right away. Got 10 Sv308 turzanos and 2 275/30/19 NT05's on thier way.
